Depression is body, mind and soul imbalance, you have to fix your body, set up your mind and find out peace in your soul is very difficult task, but is possible, not everyone is able to do it, but if some people can so do you.

1. SLEEP

You have to sleep from 6 to 9 hours per night, try to go to bed before 10pm or at least 23pm. In the morning you should get up earlier between 6 and 7 pm.

For your body is very important to keep the same rhythm, waking up early may change your life, if you use your extra time for a good reasons.

You don’t need to rush and worry, you can take your time, without running out and stress.

Enough sleep helps you to loose weight, good sleep improve concentration, sleep effects metabolism, poor sleep linked with stress and depression.

2. TAKING SHOWER

Anxiety and worry about your life: money, kids, husband, relationship with other people, friends, work, can bring you stress and depression when it comes to this point health problems popping up one after another one.

Taking long shower in the morning by switching water from hot to cold for like a minute helps to calm down your mind and focus on your moment, the increase flow of blood to the brain helps with the overall function of the neurons.

Use shower gel with strong smells focus on breathing slowly and enjoy the smells, my preference is: lemon and orange, this smells helps me to wake up and to feel better.

3. BIG DELICIOUS AND HEALTHY BREAKFAST

Breakfast is the most important food of the day, why don’t you start your day right with a healthy food. Have an omelet with vegetables, oat meal with fruits, pancakes with peanut butter and fruits and glass of fresh home made juice.

I’m cooking all my meals and snacks on my own, drinks too, well most of them, i’m buying drinks like coconut water, amends milk or coffee. When i cook my own meal it’s healthier, taste better and at least i know whats is in there.

4. CLEAN YOUR HOUSE

Get it done in the morning so you don’t need to worry for the rest of the day and watch the mess around you. Every single item must have the place, like it’s much easier to find thing what you need.

When you will be done take a minute, watch what you just did, feel proud of yourself, take a deep breath.

5. CALL FOR SOMEONE ( mum, dad, sister, brother, any other family member, friend, girlfriend, boyfriend)

Communication with other people is important role in our life, sometimes we just too busy to call for an old friend and set up a meeting, thats why you should think about it in the morning.

Depression symptoms are lack of energy, loss of interest, you can feel sleepy all the time, you don’t want to see anybody, lack of appetite or to big appetite, reckless behaviour, sadness, anger. But make an effort, you can fight it by following those 10 STEPS.

6. READ BOOKS

Reading certainly can be therapeutic, by reading you can set up clearly all the mess thats on your mind, reading may take you somewhere else it will keep your mind busy and focus.

7. START EXERCISING

It’s not a secret that exercising helps to fight stress, gets your body in form, cleans up your mind and builds some muscles. Cardio outside is that best what you can do to feel better. You may meet some people who has same problems like you do.

Exercising helps for blood system, mood, immune system, while you are exercising you dare not thinking about anything else, that release you from stress and gives a break for your neurons.

8. STAY AWAY FROM CIGARETS ALCOHOL AND DRUGS

Depression and smoking most of the times comes together. Smoking cause depression, because nicotine damages certain pathways in the brain that regulate mood.

Alcohol’s damaging your brain, a lot of people who has depression also has an alcohol problem, usually depression come first. Drinking will only makes depression worse.

People who use drugs can noticed their mood changes, depressive symptoms can develop as direct result of taking drugs. If you already have depression drugs may make it worse.

9. MEDITATION

Meditation has big effect on the mind, body and soul. It takes time to learn, but it really works. If you not sure how to do it you can subscribe to yoga and meditation lessons.

Meditation and yoga changes physical structure of the brain, meditation is the key which helps us to find balance and to connect brain, body and soul.

Yoga is very important than it comes to muscle strength, healthy weight. The therapy of yoga and meditation may help with depression and your symptoms.

10. SUN LIGHT

Sunlight release hormones in your brain, sunlight increases serotonin in your brain, lack of serotonin are associated with stress, anxiety and depression.

We had light rain all night and it’s only 13 this morning, shouldn’t be that cool even for us! But I will still have a good day anyway, have things to do inside so a good day to do that. Good to get a long sleep sometimes, doesn’t work for me, I just can’t sleep too long. Oh well. Keep posting Ilona, you have great advice to share. I seem to have lost a lot of my readers, maybe it’s just because of summer. Enjoy!!!😃😁🌞😺I do miss that heat!😂

  2. Hey Ilona! 😊 I have been there too and that’s the worst feeling. I always pray that no one has to go through it, even my worst enemies. And tips you suggested surely works… well it worked for me atleast. Even I used to read a lot (it was my escape and comfort), exercise, eat right, meditate and of course, used to talk to my best friend about it. Apart from that I used to practice Gratitude daily, which I know is hardest thing to do at that time but that is also the time when we constantly need to remind ourselves of all the good things in our lives and how grateful we are for them. It surely helped me get of that dark phase .😊
